The Quays Nursery is one of our family-run group of six nurseries. Our team believe first and foremost in building secure and trusting relationships and you will experience first hand the care, security, trust and warmth that is at the very heart of our philosophy about young children.
When you visit The Quays, the first thing you are likely to notice is the welcoming, friendly team and homely environment. It is this unique aspect which our parents comment on most and one which we actively encourage to help our children feel they are safe, loved and have a strong sense of belonging. From babies up to pre-school, we provide an emotional and physical environment which enables our children to be inquisitive and explore with confidence, safe in the knowledge there is a loving, familiar and trusted adult to help them when they might need it.
Our indoor space has been designed to provide a safe, secure learning environment that reflects how young children play and explore. With spacious car parking, bright and well designed children’s rooms and an accessible, exciting outdoor space for all age groups, we offer our families a secure and stimulating environment where children come first.Book a Visit
I can't recommend The Quays highly enough; I have 2 children currently at The Quays, with one leaving for 'big school' in a couple of weeks. Both children have been at the Quays since 9 months old and the care they have received has been exceptional. The girls really understand the uniqueness of each child and just 'get them' - they are treated as individuals with activities planned for each child to suit their likes and hobbies; similarly, they are encouraged to celebrate everybody else's likes and hobbies.
We have been delighted with the excellent care at the Quays that it's caring and dedicated staff provide for our daughter who has been at the nursery from 10 months old. The staff have all been incredibly hard working, forming a real bond with both children and parents which provides that reassurance so important in a nursery, especially when first settling in.
They never seem to run out of ideas for fun, exciting and interesting activities for the children. The staff are always full of enthusiasm and there is great communication about what the children get up to day to day and how they are progressing.
Both my children have enjoyed their time at The Quays over the last 3 years, and the youngest continues to do so. They have each developed many strong friendships over the years. They have built strong relationships with each of their Key People as they have transitioned through the nursery, and all of the other staff at the nursery.
The nursery values links with home/parents, and builds on the children's experiences outside of nursery, with many opportunities for Parents to get involved with stay-and-play sessions etc.
All staff show a real personal interest in my children and are keen to develop them, especially supporting them during the transition to school.
I don't have any concerns about the excellent care my children receive at The Quays.
I came to visit a child at Pre-school, who will be starting our school in September. The child was confident, happy and settled – just what you want as a parent! The child’s key person had a clear understanding of them as a learner, the progress they had made and his area’s of strength.
All of the staff, whether they care for my children or not, are brilliant; they are sociable, helpful, professional and all help to care for the children in a fun, caring and safe environment. My children have loved being at this nursery and I will be very sad when number one leaves for primary school.
Our daughter absolutely loves her time in nursery and often asks to go there to play, even on her days off, which is a testament to how much she enjoys herself. The team have done so much to build her confidence and bring out her character over the last 14 months. She has come on leaps and bounds during her time at the nursery and we would have no hesitation in recommending it.
Our team make nursery a wonderfully inviting and exciting place to be. Understanding this unique phase of your child’s early years means they are there to support you through each stage of parenting.
The nursery environment plays a vital part in children’s well-being. We believe that children should feel a sense of belonging at nursery and so everything about the rooms, resources and furniture we use is designed to encourage independence and foster childrens’ self confidence. In keeping with our overall philosophy and approach to early years teaching, the environment too is influenced by a range of early years approaches, including Steiner, Montessori, High Scope and Reggio. One of the first things you will notice is that nursery looks inviting and enticing to not only children, but adults too! Provocations for learning and play are everywhere to be seen and child sized furniture and resources tell children that this is a space for them. Somewhere to play, imagine, create, experiment and be together.Find Out More
